DJ Justin Barnett

I’ve been DJing for as long as I can remember. My love for music started in my youth.  Mixing music was my art, creating seamless mix tapes from songs recorded and spliced together off of the radio. This love of music grew into a passion during my time at NAU. I would DJ and MC house parties every weekend.

After college, I moved to Colorado where I trained with some of the best DJ companies in the mountains.  I quickly established myself with residencies at the most popular clubs and venues in ski resorts of Vail, Breckenridge, and Beaver Creek. In addition to club events and private parties, I expanded my horizons by DJing and MCing weddings, Bar and Bat mitzvahs, corporate events, and even being invited to DJ at the Winter X games. I spent a few years in the Portland & Seattle area DJing at clubs in the techno and house scene.

I continue to host a weekly radio show on air and streaming around the world, as well as guest host several radio shows during the year.  These years on the radio have helped me perfect live mixing skills and mic presence

In 2020, I returned to the place my passion for music was created.  My family and I moved back to Arizona where I was offered a position with Direct Sounds. All of my experiences and skills brought me to this amazing company.  Direct Sounds is laser focused on quality and bringing the kind of professionalism every event deserves.  DJs attend hands-on workshops and skills development meetings to help us grow in our profession.  I’m proud to be a part of the most experienced team in the Southwest!
